What is City Slam mode in NBA 2K22?

City Slam is a new type of game in NBA 2K22 MyCareer that features 2 vs. 2, 3 vs. 3, and 4 vs. 4 games against NBA players in The City. City Slam mode is exclusive to next-gen versions of NBA 2K22, so to play, you must go to The City rooftops and talk to Jackson Ellis. City Slam was available when Season 3 was launched on December 3rd on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

NBA 2K22 City Slam: How to Play?

First, you'll have to activate the quest for NBA 2K22 City Slam; as far as we can tell, there's only one way to do this, and it's through your friend Ricky.

Ricky will tell you about some rooftop courts where familiar faces Hendrix Cobb and Junior hosted a "tournament." From there, the quest will activate, and you can follow it to the court.

Specific games might have requirements for winning while others you'll need to win the game, either way, it's a ton of fun in a game to 21.

NBA 2K22 City Slam Locations

The location for the City Slam tournaments will start with your local Affiliation. If you're a member of the South City Vipers, that's where you'll begin to.

Building your City Slam Team

The players you beat become players you can pick up in 2v2, 3v3, and 4v4 games. This includes actual NBA players.

Team composition is huge here, so you'll want to ensure you get a good balance of the right players for each matchup. Depending on your NBA 2K22 build, you'll need the right players to compliment your style.

NBA 2K22 City Slam Rewards

The rewards in NBA 2K22 City Slam vary for each game, but you can expect to earn 2K22 MT and VC for each game, which is pretty incredible considering you can play as much as you want.

Each of the beginning games, you receive a minimum reward of:

    • 250 VC
    • 5,000 MVP Points

This is all we know about the City Slam mode. What are you waiting for? Don't waste time and get grinding, as Iced Out will only be here for six weeks! Also, for more NBA 2K22 guides, check out here.
